Call for submissions (i.e. cute pet photos) - Quarantine Companion™ photo contest
UPDATE - SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.
It's been nearly a year since COVID-19 changed our world. 2020 had us looking for ways to cope and stay sane, and for many, this was found in our pets. Our (furry or otherwise) friends have brought happiness to so many in these trying times of isolation and uncertainty.
To celebrate the role pets have played in our lives over the past year, IPAC Nova Scotia is launching a contest to recognize these little heroes. We’re calling it the Quarantine Companion Photo Competition™
About the contest
Throughout the month of March, a friendly March-Madness bracket-style competition will be held featuring photos of the pets of Nova Scotian public servants. Several rounds of voting will be held to crown a winner.
Prizes
The winner and runner-up of the competition will receive a $100 and $50 gift card to PetSmart, respectively. Additionally, one voter will be selected at random for additional prizes. All three winners will also receive a copy of the newly released book How government really works: a field guide to bureaucracies in Canada.
To enter, submit a photo of your pet along with their name and a short description as to why they are an amazing companion. Silly or funny photos are encouraged.
Any and all pets accepted – dogs, cats, birds, raccoons, you name it. Submissions must be received by midnight Friday March 12, 2021 to be accepted.
The first round of voting will be held on Monday March 15. Watch your inbox for a link to the bracket. Anyone can vote once per round; you do not have to have a pet in the race.
